Jaguar XF 2013 Central Locking Issue
Discussion
So, I had a mobile auto locksmith come out to program a spare key and I am about 99% sure the central locking on the original key was working.
He's added the second key to the car using OBD port and the tools that you would expect to program a key, car is then saying that the key has been added successfully but now the central locking just will not work whatsoever. Both keys start the car completely fine but I am just concerned now as to what the hell has actually happened to the car.
The locksmith wants me to bring the car to his house for him to look into the issue further and fix it. He's charged me nothing so far because well, everything seems worse than it was.
He seems like a decent bloke, but I am just a bit skeptical about leaving the car there for a couple of days when it was working fine with one key, then all of a sudden it completely stops working but now I have a second key to drive the car.
Does this seem normal or am I being too paranoid?
