Final rolling road result.

Fellow piston headers I have some good news.
As you will know I have had a few problems with getting the Cerb rolling roaded.
The first attempt at Auto craft threw up an AFR fault which put pay to proceedings.
I tried again at a local rolling road and got some pretty disappointing results 345BHP and about the 318 lb’s ft. something was clearly wrong.
My next port of call was the dealer who sold me the car. I explained the adaptive maps where well out, the left hand bank was going off the scale. I was later informed the left hand manifold had a crack in it, and this was the result of the lowly power output.
The car was fast and pulled strongly however there was something missing. Sure you could hit big speeds; it just seemed to be missing that pinned back into the chair feeling under hard acceleration. I reigned my self to the fact the 4.5 Cerbera Red Rose was just not going to give me what I had expected, maybe time to get the Duke out of the garage for some two wheeled kicks.
This can’t be right I thought, the car has been fixed and tuned and still it just didn’t seem right.
There where no obvious problems and as I stated I had just done four hundred quid at the dealers so it should have been at its best.
It was at this time I decided on finding an expert in the Cerb field and contacted Joo, at Track car. I dropped the car there a couple of days ago and after a friendly chat left the Cerb in his capable hands.
I have kept from posting as I wanted to see if my thoughts where real or it simply was I needed more power than the Cerb could offer.
Well, upon initial inspection the throttle butterflies have been noted to begin closing again upon full throttle.
I think this means that the butterflies move to fully open at about 90% accelerator application but if pushed any further they begin to close?
Considering the car was tuned less than a week ago this struck me as strange to say the least.
It would seem I also have a leaking shock (the car is under warranty) I have asked Joo, to work his magic and have gone for a suspension upgrade while I am at it , no point messing about.
Now the good bit, today the car was rolling roaded again at Nobels and this my fellow petrol heads is the good news I received from the great man about an hour ago.
It’s now absolutely bang on the money for a red rose car
407bhp at 7100rpm.
358 lbs.ft at 4700rpm.
Congratulations.
This has obviously made my day and now the car can hold its head high at CREAM.
Joo, Track car is the man, it has been said before I know but I must reiterate this.
I wasted money at the dealers getting the car sorted when all along I should have just

I see from your profile you are also in Bedfordshire maybe meet up for a pint and a chat if you are up for it.
I also notice with some alarm a large pair of bouncing boosoms on your profile . Do you know my girlfriend by any chance? as they look quite familiar.

Steve, yeah it certainly is a good feeling.
It had been driving me mad, you know that little something in the back of your mind saying "this car does not feel as fast or hard charging as it should"
I had considered getting rid of it and looking at a Radical. Thank's to Joo I will not be taking that line.
Regards the plots I have not picked it up yet as I decided to treat the car to a suspension upgrade(not myselfe you understand) for finaly performing so well.
Will post the graphs up when I get it back, unless joo want's to.

Blue 4.5 I have not picked it up yet, but can assure you that the extra 62 BHP and 40 lb ft Joo has liberated will not only exist in my imagination.
Are you going to cream? Then I can show you just what it can realy do if you fancy a top speed challenge.

not got wheel figures on teh plot just flywheel power and torque.
wheel figures are meaningless unless you relate them to rolling losses .. you can get ANY wheel figure you want just by running it in a lower gear .. the wheel figure goes up, the rolling losses come down, the flywheel figure comes out the same.
without getting into the dyno-comparison debate again quoting wheel figures without knowing the rolling losses is meaningless.
What we do know is that based on the figures that came off Ceejay's, this car of Nick's should make about 395-400bhp at SRR all other things being equal. That makes it one very fast car
edited to add : in fact Nick will be the first person to have one of my vouchers for SRR .. allows you an independant power run so you can verify the performance gain you've got. I actively encourage all my customers to get their cars independantly tested, so much so that if they take up the offer SRR bill me not the customer!

I am still conteplating going, its quite a way for me and having just moved into a new house my weekends are pretty busy with DIY so finding the time is tricky. (Hants/Wilts way)
I wasn't having a dig at the figures, just having read the comments on here about rolling road comparisons etc I just wanted to know if you could actually feel the extra 50BHP to see if it was worth spending the money on getting a remap etc. I mean if you had a 140 bhp hot hatch, I always wondered if an extra 20 would make that much difference, and we're in the same ball park improvement here.

Jools, That sounds a very good customer care program and shows your faith in your work. It should get rid of any of the bullsh@t about rolling roads differing etc. Now, will you open a shop down south too or offer a mobile service I have a large garage and accomodation can be freely provided

Blue 4.5 wash your mouth out Diy for god's sake this is Cream we are talking about, imagine a whole track full of Cerbs. Now you get the picture I am running up from the south, not as far as you granted but it has to be done. Meet up to drive up if you like, you know it makes sense, next you'll be saying you have a prior appointment at Homebase.

Blue 4.5 I have not had a remap, this is good old fashioned spannering and an intimate knowledge of the car only.
To be honest I don't need any more than this, and as I hear the 4.5 is at its breathing limit around here anyway.
I have had the suspension done aswell so The next logical step will be trackdays and maybe a bit of driver training.
Ash seems to have crazy modding covered so I will not be messing around with further mods for a bit anyway.
