Would appreciate any advice from 993RS owners. I need new tyres for mine - in the past I have had them all - Bridgestone SO2, P Zero Asimmetricos, loads of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, Toyo 888, Dunlop DZ01 etc. But these days there don't seem to be many available in the right sizes.

The official sizes are 225/40/18 front and 265/35/18 rear but in the past I have stretched to 235 front / 285 rear.

Any advice on what is the tyre of choice? For example I can get Michelin 4S for front but not rear, or maybe the other way round. The world seems to have moved on to 19/20 inch tyres for performance brands. Would prefer something that is not an out-and-out track tyre, more of a summer road tyre.

Many thanks for any views.

You might be able to source the rear Michelin's in the right size from US or Canada ... for some Michelin don't offer all sizes in all regions ... especially in 18" for some reason ? I've done this in the part for MPSS for my 993 ... bit more expensive these days due to exchange rate etc

I have Michelin PS4 (not S) in the correct 225/265 sizes on RS speedlines for the road.
They are fine as a road tyre.
On the rare and diminishing occasions it goes on track, I have lighter, less precious Porsche BBS wheels with Toyo 888 in 235/285.

Just to add, since fitting my PS4, they have been superseded by the PS5, of which I have heard favourable comment, these are also available in the elusive 265/35/18 as well as the more easily accesible 225/40/18 size.

We have run PS5 recently and they have been superb - especially in the wet.

Normally, my default answer on any 911 would be to go for a Michelin Pilots, however, I have had Goodyears recently fitted to a 992 C4GTS (Eagle F1 Assymetric 3) and a 992GT3RS (Eagle F1 Supersport R) and they’ve both been excellent. The Supersport R especially so. I have found it to be better on a wider range of surfaces and weathers than I found the Michelin pilot sport cup to be. Both these Goodyears have been quieter in my opinion than a 4S or cup tyre too.
