So, who was driving it today? I joined an Alvis Owner Club drive around the leafy Cotswolds and saw a few other proper cars out and about.

Bravo Jim. I do love an Alvis. Looks like you were dressed for the part, too.

That really is stunning, wanted to take my old triumph to the vscc event at Silverstone but slipped a disc on Monday so no chance unfortunately.

My club went out for a scenic drive organised by one of our members (thanks Rob!) which ended up for lunch at a pub / restaurant alongside the River Dee, via a stop at Ellesmere. Weather wasn't great, but not as bad as the forecast had suggested

Missed the boat on that somewhat! The 'interesting fellow' across the road was spending time washing his poo brown Land Rover on Saturday so should have been a clue... never be able to understand that one, coveting a Land Rover (in st brown of all things), plus all the farmers I grew up with used to deride drivers of clean Land Rovers anyway confused

We splashed our way round the back roads of north Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire with 40 other classics on the Minster Classics 'Shake Down Run'. It was the first outing of the year in our Riley and despite the appalling weather we enjoyed it, the car ran well, the route was good, we managed to avoid most of the potholes and the cream tea at the finish was delicious - what more could one ask for?

I went to the Classic Motor Hub and had a good laugh at the pricing of the stuff they had for sale.

I went there last year for some entertainment as it was my birthday.

Didn't bother this year though as it is mostly a showroom for cars I'll never want, and couldn't afford anyway!

Was working last weekend so completely missed drive it day this year.
Oil and filter change for this little one this weekend and time to wake it from its winter hibernation.
