It seems to me that there isn't much talk of the King's coronation. Personally I won't be watching or participating, but wondered what the mood of the nation is.

What do you think?

Extra day off? Yeah, it's all good with me! Will I be watching? Absolutely not.

A friend of one of my close pals son got an invite.

The lad has been in the Scouts for years.

I didn't believe this when my pal told me but the invite said you can only come if you identify as female or gender neutral.

Stop the planet, I want to get off.

Unbelievable, So no, I'm not interested in the slightest.

Yeah, unbelievable - I'm active in scouting, & not heard any such nonsense. I'm not that interested in the coronation either, but certainly not falling for that bull manure with no evidence.

Extra day off and the kids are loving it. Parties, picnics in school, dressing up as kings and queens it’s all good.

We'll spend the day with family and it will be on, at least in the background. Similar to the funeral last year, these things don't come around very often so nice to make a day of it. Probably fire up the bbq if the weather's nice smile

Yeah, that sounds like total bks.

I'm a bit interested. I will watch it on the TV most probably as it's a historical event but will not get involved in flag waving and standing up for the national anthem etc.

I'll probably end up watching a bit of it and popping down to the local street party if the weather's nice.

I'll likely watch it as it is something I have never experienced before and I'm sure it will be fascinating, much like the Queens funeral, I ended up watching the lot from about 09:30, I think it was like 8 hours of solid TV, I was captivated, I don't expect the Coronation to be as long though.

The wife isn't interested so will likely find an equally uninterested friend to go on a dog walk with, much like she did on the day of the Queens funeral.

We're not getting paid for it at our place, unless we book it as holiday from our own allowance.

G/f's 18 year old son said something very similar, and that he wanted to watch it because it was a 'once in a lifetime event'. (Given Charlies age, I doubt that!).

A little bit interested. I think pomp and pageantry is one of the things we're good at. i might watch the highlights (hopefully they'll get Lineker and Shearer to do the summary!).

Unfortunately Ill be working so won't be watching it Live.

I am. I'm a bit of Royalist anyway but we have a street party planned (which are always a hoot) and a community event I'm helping organise which includes a Best of British Car Show. Will be nice to have some positivity and nice stuff to chat and think about for a change.

Not overly bothered, if it's a nice day I'll be out somewhere.

But, I wasn't alive for the last one so I will at least watch the highlights.

As it may be the only coronation I ever get to see, then yes. But I'll probably give the religious guff a miss.
