Mercedes abs sensor replacement

Got a 19 plate Vito with codes showing for ‘rpm sensor of right front axle’
Garages want it for a day to diagnose and then order parts and a further day to fix… I can see the sensor and follow the cable up into the wheel arch liner. Is this likely to be an easy swap out and no coding required? Loosened the bolt on the sensor earlier and it didn’t come out with wiggling but didn’t want to go mad as I don’t have a new one yet… help appreciated

It could be.

Unfortunately, they frequently need lots of persuasion/even drilling to remove.

They don't need coding, but may well need a code reader attached to reset the fault code.
