Exhaust Manifold Tab Washers

Should I have tab washers on the manifold bolts like these?



I have had a number of Rover V8's over the years and they always have them but by 350i doesn't and they are not shown in the parts catalogue either. I am suffering from the bolts loosening so I may fit them anyway. I just wondered what the general view is?

None on mine, but all sorts could have been in there before me.

Have a search on Chimaera and Griffith forums, Nord-lock washers seem a popular choice

Just been playing in the engine bay of my 450SE and that has the tab washers fitted from new.

I have bought some tab washers and I will fit them just to be on the safe side!!
