Hello, Thought it was about time that I started a thread on here. I've browsed Pistonheads for some time and i've now decided to document my time with my newly acquired Ford Fiesta ST200! on here as I feel it is the best place for it. I have come from my vw up! that I had as my first car which I owned from 2020 up until feburary of 2023. i modified it slightly with some handling mods such as coilovers ect and it was great. then after nearly three years it was time for a change. id always liked the fiesta ST although i had never drove one, so i went for a test drive in one and was instantly hooked and i knew then that it was an ST that i wanted as my next car. So the hunt was on and after months of looking i found a 2016 ST200. I went to see it the next day and brought it home.

Probably best served by a thread in "Readers Rides"

I have a 2015 ST, they are great fun, I have done loads of mods to mine.

Here is the car the day I got it. Obviously had to give it a clean straight away.

First was a set of Rally Flapz. Bit of a pain to fit but they look mega.

Next was to give the car a service aswell as change both front and rear calliper guide pins as I suspected they were corroded. I was right about that the rears were really corroded. But all sorted with relative ease. Changed the crappy ford wheel nuts for some ones that actually work and swapped the sump plug out to a vudu magnetic one also for added protection.

Ford failings with these cars, and others: wheel nuts made of cheese and slider pins that always corrode and seize.

I Honestly couldn't believe how bad the wheel nuts were. i've heard that they are bad but never had a ford before so this is my first experience of them! also didn't expect that the slide pins were going to be so corroded. but some good jobs done never the less.

Really very nice, I think Ford are missing a huge amount by discontinuing the Fiesta.

My thoughts too. I wonder if Ford will still exist in 20 years time. The car world is changing at a crazy rate. It's sad but a positive for all of us owners of older sporty Fords as values will continue to rise.

Yes I am wondering that too, hopefully these older fast fords will continue to rise in value.
