My plipper broke

I got back to my car after a meeting today and tried to unlock it, only to find that my remote plipper thingy had broken. On taking it apart, the little microswitch had come loose from the circuit board and the plipper was useless. I now know how to get into the car (worryingly easy!) but of course the alarm went off. After a bit of fiddling I decided I couldn't fix the plipper, but could start the car with the help of the push-in key that un-immobilises it. So I had to drive back with the alarm going off every few minutes for a few miles, after which it seemed happy to keep quiet. Fortunately, getting home, my spare plipper worked.

Top marks to Austec, phoned them and they said send it to them and they may be able to re-solder the switch, so fingers crossed.

No-one gave me a second glance as I broke into the car and drove off with the alarm going.
