Body styling for cerby - seen an Orange cerby recently.

Hello, If you have read the post about the paint on the cerberas you may have read that I have had my car scratched and is in need of a respray. What i was wondering is, if there are any body styling parts available for the Cerbys. I live in South Wales and one day while driving through the tiny village in which i live i seen an Orange TVR Cerbera, the car is a 4.5 i think, has a number plate saying CERBY or there abouts ;-) (i wouldnt post it). The Cerby had gold badges, a GB badge on the back but....the most impressive thing about this car was that it seemed to have a front splitter and a bonnet scoop simular to that found on the Ferrari 550/575 and the styling looked amazing, i would consider fitting styling like this as my car needs a full respray any way. I know alot of you believe the Cerbera should be untouched after reading the afterburner light thread but i was wondering if any of you could give me details where to get body styling for my cerby or details on the car explained above would be very interesting. I would say : if it's your car you have the right to do with it whatsoever you please. If a vent in the bonnet is what you desire then please go ahead and do it.
My main advice though is not to ask for opinions on stuff like this anyway .. it's purely personal preference .. if YOU like it then DO IT! Forget what anyone else thinks.

If it’s the Cerbera I’m thinking of it was done by Greg Lunn of Newlun Design. He advertises in the back of Sprint and his PH name is “Newlun”. He can probably do a re-spray for you as well.
As far as I know the mould for that intake was taken from a real 550 bonnet. I was also told by somebody that the air in take on the Cerbera was changed to take advantage of it, but I’m not 100% sure if that’s correct.

Well i think the name Teen_Cerbera suits me as i am 18 and have 4.5 Cerby so your point is??
If you dont believe me give Mark Deadfield a ring at Henley Heritage TVR in Oxon (01491 411177) where i (an 18 year old teen) p/xed a Silver 330ci BMW convertible for my navy blue 4.5 lightweight TVR Cerbera.
Any way thanks to all the useful people - not "Tyre Smoke", I agree that every 1 has a right to do their car the way they please but having a 550 bonnet scoop which will not be cheap does seem a bit pointless just as a cosmetic modification. However I will keep my eyes peeled for some body styling and will also purchase a few of the magazines mentioned in this post.

I see what your saying, the thought i have got is to have the front splitter, a smooth 550 scoop like the one i seen and a small lip spoiler for the boot. I also want to fill the space in the middle of the back seat, i did see a subwoofer which was apparantley custom built to fit in that space for the Cerbera on ebay a few months back - however i hadnt purchased the car at that point. Has any one else modded that storage space? because i think it looks ugly

Nothing wrong with cosmetic mods, just dont overdo it if it aint functional...
If you're gonna do a bonnet mod like the F50 mod, try and get the breathing apparatus to utilise this too...
The cerbera doesnt need a bodykit, but functional external touches make a difference to the stability/performance of the car, and slight asthetic mods improve the looks - but dont compromise performance over asthetic upgrades.
My suggestions:
* Nitron suspension upgrade (trackcar does it best)
> Increase your cars handling ability to a whole new level
* Good tyres, GoodYears etc
> Increase the lag before traction breaks away
* Performance Driving lessons
> Not matter how good your driving might be in your own opinion, there are many things to learn from the pros, and well worth the investment, the extra knowledge can be the difference between a smashed cerbera or just bent alloys!
* Functional Upgrades
> Bonnet modifications (ie F50 stylee) with internal breathing modifications, again Trackcar comes highly recommended in the intake modifications department and Newlund Design for the bonnet mod, even try Carbon Al (who in my books is the god of carbon/glass work!)
> Front lip, high speed stability, the high-pressure bucket builds up above the lip, enabling much needed stability at the front. Craig (Nos Cerbera owner) is a cerbie nut and has one of these on his ride and HIGHLY recommends it for high speed driving especially!
> Rear Diffuser, again back end stability and also helps bucket the low pressure zone and reduce turbulence under and out the rear end, great for tracking (also helps the guy behind you keep up close smoothly!) and VERY high speed runs.
* Interior Mods
> Anything and everything to customise her to how YOU prefer and whatever makes you feel at home, just remember, the more gear you get in there, the more attractive she will look to the average bastard thief.
> Tinting windows slightly is a great security thing, puts off many opportunist thieves due to the extra effort required in breaking in, and also helps reduce the attention of the interior because it would require the bastards to get right up to the window and peer in to see whats going on in there.
Final words, SAFETY first! Look out for yourself before the car, and use reputable indies for work, again Trackcar comes in highly recommended here.

the storage space is, as I am sure you know for a crash helmet. I like It, no helmet rolling around getting bashed. You will be doing some trackdays, 1/4 mile sprinting at some point so keep it I say.
Carisma did a cerb, not to everyones taste, but a professional job, do a search for them I am sure Jamie ( the boss) can help you out.

Any way after reading the posts I have decided to look into the Nitron suspension upgrade, I am also playing with the idea of putting on my aftermarket 5 spoke 18" wheels fitted with new F1 Goodyears, previously fitted to my BM (e46) as i slightly curbed my spiders late friday afternoon and want to get them done ASAP, are the BM wheel fitments the same as the Cerby?.
I have read about carbon Al in a few posts on here and I have heard nothing but good reviews about him, how would i contact him? I would also like to know where the member with a front difuser purchased or ordered the part from.
I also understand what you mean by making it attractive to car thieves, i already have a £600 Alpine head unit fitted and that makes me a little nervous leaving the cars in town etc because i am often forgetful when in a rush resulting in the face being left on.
Window tinting... I actually went to see about this, when the guy asked what car I had, i said a Cerbera he paused for a few seconds (gob smacked lol) then continued to explain that window tinting cannot be done to the cerbera any more as the front side window cannot be tinted due to a new law - i was knocked back by this because my friends Focus is fully blacked out (except the windscreen obviously) and the work was carried out within the last 3 months, also the orange Cerby i mentioned earlier in the post definatley had dark tints, can ne 1 clear this up for me?

Ohh no I wouldnt sell, i love my spiders, i was just goin 2 take them off for a week or two to get them repaired and get some long awaited use out of m F1 goodyears while the spiders were gettin repaired. wanna use the F1's as they were only on my last car a week or two before i sold it. The Toyo Proxes on my spiders also need replacing, all in all it doesnt look like its going to be a cheap motoring year for me lol.

there's new laws concerning the tinting of windows .. it can still be done but teh tint has to pass a fixed % of light by law .. so it'll be tinted just not very dark.
you can still have the rear screen darkly tinted as far as I know .. just maybe not totally blacked out as you might have been able to do in the past. the strictest % law governs the side window tinting only.

Just out of interest (no reply needed if you don't feel it good form), but how on earth can you afford all these cars etc. if you're only 18.
I have a few friends who have kids that are 18 and they only just manage to afford a good night out and petrol for their moped.
Still, post a picture of your cerb so we can see if anything needs changing - interior too. Most cerbs look sweet as they are, but need TLC as some owners let them get grubby and the engine gets dirty - tut tut
