Member since 2009 but unable to post in news etc

Hello there, I understand there are rules re minimum length of time you need t be registered to post in some forums but I’ve been on here since 2009 yet there seems to be a restriction on postng? I did update my username a couple of weeks ago but not sure if that’s the reason or just a tech glitch?
