what items do you keep in your car, glovebox and boot etc?

I tend to keep an umbrella and a few carrier bags.

As little as possible.
Although the daily cars seem to have an unfeasible amount of shopping bags in them.
Until you actually need a shopping bag, in which case there aren’t any.

In the front:
A USB to multi-plug charger cable.
Start-Rescue membership print out
Digital tyre gauge
In the boot:
Autoglym Fastglass spray
Tar and insect spray
A meshed sponge insect remover.
Supplied tools
and of course, the battery (guess what car)

Too windy round here for an umbrella, they are useless, as is a brimmed hat.

A spare wheel and a jack kit. A waterproof. Some 90's French rap CDs borrowed from my sister in law (yes, they're all awful.)

A few plastic shopping bags... that pretty much fills the boot of my Elise. silly

It's usually got a child booster seat on the passenger seat if that counts and my driving glasses on the shelf thing which serves instead of a glove box. That's about it.

I keep the wife in the boot.

Just let her out into kitchen to cook my food or do the ironing and general ablutions

Boot or cabin?

In the boot, coolant and oil. I mean, it's a twenty old Rover, for goodness sake. Oh, and a footpump, tyre gauge and first aid kit.

In the cabin, as little as possible, save for a phone charger and a £1 coin for the supermarket trolley.

There again, I've never understood why some people seem to treat their car interiors like an extension to their dustbin, they can't all be on their way to the municipal tip surely?
