2007 manual V8V 26k miles

Any advice on the sticky throttle syndrome please? Starting from cold drive changing up through the gears to third or fourth approx 35 to 40 mph. Lift off the throttle and the car still surges on for around 5 to 10 seconds before slowing. Now and again it maintains its speed until the brakes are operated. Once it's warmed up its perfect!
I have cleaned the throttle body and fitted a new gasket to no avail.

Any ideas? TIA

Sounds like a vacuum leak on the inlet manifold.
