New purchase recently, Audi RS3

I think an RS3 is never a car you buy with your head, I mean, an S3 would do 90% of the needs of the road

Its a 2015 so a pre facelift 8V, it has the Sports Exhaust and Magentic ride, the noise is just sublime, not sure there are many nicer sounding cars, especially standard, Audi really did go a bit mad with this exhaust before all the regulations came in which caused the facelifts to be much quieter.

Some nice other features like Bang & Olufsen and MMI plus.

I deliberately bought it in "low key" spec, Daytona Grey, debadged externally.

In my opinion the black wheels and quattro look a bit showy for me on other RS3's, so this is just the grey wheels and its not even got the black pack, just the brushed aluminium, I would’ve liked the Supersports seats but fairly happy with these standard ones.

No one really gives it a second look unless they are an S3 owner, they seem to know exactly what it is, I like it like this, its just an A3 with big wheels and brakes.

It’s a brilliant machine, very quick, even standard, brilliant grip, very happy with it.

A friends daily is the S3 version of yours, mapped to 400bhp. A high speed passenger ride recently demonstrated that it's as fast as I'd need on public roads.

Looks all the better for it without the black bits.

Always nice hearing one of these go through the gears. Enjoy!

Perfect. Looks really nice. Main dealer purchase? See the Audi dealer in the background, or a private buy?

Looks great, and I think the aluminium trim goes much better with Daytona Grey paint than black trim.

I do like that... Understated and subtle IMO

They do sound fantastic; a lad down our cul de sac has one, just traded his Focus ST in for it by the looks of it... Still lives with his folks; probably can't afford to move out with buying that laugh

I used to own a 2015 RS3 and it was easily the best sounding car I have owned^. Wife often commented that it could be heard a few streets away from the house!

^decat rear pipes was the only mod it had

Yes, Audi Used Approved

Was a little worried about the RS Tax it might come with it if something went wrong, its 8 years old but very low mileage at 22k miles, to me looks like someone has just pootled around in it as the brakes look original.

Its a great car its very quiet and fairly comfortable due to the mag suspension but them in Dynamic mode it, shouts and barks and goes like a stabbed rat, and with it being quite understated does get too much unwanted attention.

Never been a massive fan of the RS3 mainly because they usually look shouty but that's spot on!

I had an S4 from the same era, I also found that super boring.
Was like driving a PlayStation with the 4wd and DSG, Just point and squirt.

Needless to say I moved it on quite quickly!

That looks good, always better for being more subtle.

It looks like new. Enjoy. I really like them. Pretty much the perfect daily. I don’t know why they never dropped that engine into an estate car.

Definely not a q car. Everyone knows a wide Audi is a fast Audi.

I agree, its an immense daily, its quiet and refined most of the time, fuel is a bit rubbish around town but 30mpg easily capable on a run, the sound is a bit addictive though

The world needs more 5 cylinder engines. Our only hope is that downsizing gets so extreme that supercars end up with 5 cylinder engines.

That is a wonderful looking car, I'm now sitting here thinking could I get away with getting one for the wife to get rid of her boring BMW. I think she'd notice the difference from her old A3 2.0 ltr diesel that she loved and has never stopped going on about how much she misses her A3 now she drives a BM.

Would certainly shut her up if she planted her foot on one similar to yours!

Congrats -nothing boring about that and the grey also looks pretty good.
My wife went from an S3 to an RS3 ( 2019 model ) and said she was never changing it - then drove a new RS4 and did.

What a lovely thing, these sound incredible with the secondary decats as well as still being MOT legal.

Thanks everyone

Think in the future I will tweak it slightly, it does tend to understeer but I find this at the limit, no where near as bad as the press have you believe, I dont think it would be the greatest track weapon either, more of a fast road car
