Hi

Been lusting after a Lexus IS-F as I want a V8 and would prefer something with useable back seats. After a short search and finding the perfect car the owner doesn't want to part with it as it's a minter. I'm stuck now. My requisites for a fun car is as follows...

- Less than 3 owners max
- Usable rear seats to take out my 13 year old daughter
- Interesting engine
- Good on road trips and handles well
- Nothing brave pill...

And with that brief.....go!

Please and thank you!

Logic would say just find a different IS-F

As an alternative what about a Merc C63 coupe?

I really can't be assed with the Rod bearings, throttle actuators and vanos bits needing doing on the M3. And every merc I've looked at on trader has been through many many hands.....Not my style.

I'm bias as I have one but the CLK63 is a great car & it hit's you brief:

5.5TT CLS 63 (but 4 owners) AMG:

C63 Coupe AMG Edirion 125:

The XFR is also another car to consider they handle & ride well, then add that bombastic supercharged engine:

Maserati GranTurismo.

Less than 3 owners is kind of a meaningless criteria, but I get where you’re coming from. Brave pill is subjective as well.

Good luck with the search.

A mustang came to my mind, but it seems the new shape starts at about £25k

Strange shape V8, and as special as porridge.

But yeah, apart from that...

Some great suggestions there. That IS-F in Croydon is on my list as it's been sale for a while. Is wearing some terrible-although looks new-tyres. Along with an M5 that has been tuned to 713bhp! flames

I also should have made it clear in my first post. I'm not strictly looking for a bent 8, it's a preferred having never owned one. I'm currently having thoughts on an Audi RS3 (early) and a VXR8...But Open to things I've not considered...Not an M140i - they are generally driven by helmets around these parts.....

When these first came out, I thought they were a hideous abomination of the marque.

Now I really want one.

Am I really old? frown

Thanks for the input. Fate would have it that an E39 M5 fell into my lap for a decent price and with loads of work already done. It's getting delivered tonight. bouncecloud9
