Hi all, I'm new to Aston ownership having recently bought a V12 manual Vantage. It's in cracking condition but my OCD wants to sort a few things such as minor wear & tear leather items, the odd small scratch, maybe PPF and a new set of tyres. Its a 2011 car. If I wasn't going to use Aston main centre (I'm London based and the only dealership is on Park Lane so I imagine expensive and mine would be the lowest value car in there!) - does anyone have a good recommendation for an Aston specialist in or around London? I've naturally google searched but a recommendation always carries more weight. Appreciate your help. H

Welcome Harold.
Somebody once said, "Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful".

A limited edition, they were all manuals.
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=17...
'Marketed to be limited to 1,000 with no North American cars planned at that time. During production, it was decided to supply 200 to the US and Canada. The total of 1,200 cars includes the three Carbon Black editions, and the Centenary edition.'

Am sure you will be given some recommendations.
On here I think there has been mention of an independent in the Basingstoke area.
Some others Surrey ish.
Further away is a gentleman who once was an AML engine development engineer.
Bamford Rose in Warwickshire. They have also produced a huge number of YouTube videos about Aston Martin topics.
We are fortunate to have quite a few knowledgeable independents.

Enjoy your new car.

Phoenix AM I suspect. Had indirect dealings with Andrew over a torque converter (indirect in that the supplying dealer was paying); he seemed very sound.

If you want to go the route of the none Aston franchised guys, I will second Pheonix in Basingstoke. Others I will put my name too are AHM in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire, and the guys over at Vantage Engineering near Guildford.

All three I have used and cannot fault them.

Vantage Engineering go above and beyond and end up fixing little things even an OCD didn't pick up

Another recommendation for Chiltern Aston. Used them for years over v8 and v12 vantage. Always deal with Ed Barnett but they are all a good bunch.

Thanks for all the replies, hugely useful. I'll give Nicholas Mee or Chiltern a call.

Hi,

Great purchase - drive and enjoy your car - they are soooo much better when driven frequently.

Phoenix AM are brilliant. Highly recommended. Visiting tomorrow afternoon with my Virage for a secondary cat delete.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

cheers,

Phil

Welcome to the world of Aston Martin and the V12 Vantage.

I use https://chicane.am/ John Watson and his team are very knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. You asked about tyres, I wholeheartedly recommend Michelin Pilot Sports I replaced the Pirelli Corsa’s and never looked back.

You could try Michael at https://www.gemcleandetailing.com/ for PPF and full detailing

Enjoy and remember to drive it like you’ve stolen it smile
