buy new seat or re-trim?
Discussion
I have noticed the awful Bison material on the bulge of the drivers seat has started showing signs of fraying, due to the seatbelt constantly rubbing against it and everytime I get in and out, I can't help but rub against it whilst manoevering to sit down!
Is is possible to have this re-trimmed, do I just need to order some Bison material from, say, TMS and get a re-trim professional to do it, or do I need a new seat? If so how uch would that be?
Cheers
(normally, one wouldn't notice, but as I clean the car, and it looks more and more spotless, it's little things like this that nark me!)

If the 'bulge' as you call it isn't sagging then you just need to retrim it. I'd suggest retrimming in leather to stop it wearing out so quickly. But with will mean doing all the bulges so more Bison material is probably cheaper.
Any competent trim shop should be able to do this work for you. I'd suggest taking the seat out of the car and leaving it, rather than the car, with the trimshop though.

Guesstimate a bag of sand.
I think I'd be tempted to keep an eye out for a crashed car and nick the seats before they get knackered in the scrap yard. Or upgrade to some decent seats. Lets face it, TVR should have fitted proper seats in the first place.
Yes, I tend to agree, the seats arn't the most supportive around the twisties! Bet I'm looking at about a grand+ for a pair of new Tuscan seats, and chances are they're not gonna fit first time without much fettling beforehand. I could just get one Tuscan seat, and nail in a stool for Chan for the passenger seat!!
