Enola Holmes 2,Queen Charlotte, plenty of others, seems as usual.its impossible to go from one end of the spectrum, under representative of population to the idea that different colours, gender or lack of it must be included everywhere regardless of the actuality?
Seen it and get your meaning. But I feel more and more that im just getting old. Now I just watch and enjoy. Trying to remember that whether or not the actors may have been given an advantage because of there ethnicity. They auditioned for their parts like everyone else. But this is just my opinion. And there is a very real danger that im just talking ballcocks.

On the sauce a bit early OP, or is the Daily Mail
site down?
Posting thiny veiled insults and repetitive references to the Daily Mail gets tiresome. You are worthy of much better stuff.site down?
The OP clearly thinks there is an agenda to promote inclusiveness and he is not alone. It's a plot and I for one can see both the merits and downsides of this sort of thing
I myself was surprised to see that Idris Elba was in Star Trek he is in pretty much anything. I feel they could have used a different black actor.
Then there is the recent alterations to Father Brown. In fact I'm surprised it's still called Father Brown. The very name is a disgrace.
In Father B***n (I refuse to write the name again) he had a woman housekeeper (well she was dressed as a woman and seemed happy to be called "she" and "her") They could of course identified as whatever they wished. Anyway that character was called MRS. MCCARTHY and she made prize winning scones.
She has now left and has been replaced by a black woman from the local girls borstal place. She looks like they were in Dexys backing band around the time of "Eileen". She is also a bit thick.
On the face of it it's a plot to integrate black characters where there were non. But if you open your mind as I have it's a wonderful opportunity to enable Father B***n to become familiar with black culture. In the 50s
Quite enjoyed Enola Holmes 2
Didn't enjoy James Bond's last one
Yes both were more inclusive than typical films in the same theme, however one was a total sell out s
tshow, with a w
ker as a main star with too much creative control who wanted to s
t all over the franchise for everyone else.

Ahhh that's because, according to the f
kwits promoting it, the Egyptians are (wait for it, wait for it) both racist and ignorant of their history/culture... <sigh>Edited by DodgyGeezer on Tuesday 16th May 10:20

Oh look, can't provide a proper response as usual. Funny, your ideological mate Gweeds did the same thing above.Christ.
It's almost like you both sub-consciously think the OP is correct.
Go on, have a try....

You wouldn't want my politics forced on you during your TV programmes, so I shouldn't have to tolerate your political viewpoint during my TV shows.

I'd never want a life where 'there are too many black people on TV' is a material concern, but I'll admit I'm envious of those with the time and inclination to give it headroom.

Black elves and dwarves in LoTR? Really, who cares - imo it's logical (within the framework of a fantasy movie) to have BAME peoples. Little Mermaid BAME? Who cares, I mean really does it matter? Within broad parameters it doesn't - however what stands out for me is:
- where is the Asian, East Asian representation?
- is this just white virtue-signalling whilst insidiously telling us that black/Asian legends/stories can't stand on their own merits (interestingly east Asian tales seem to be better represented as do mesoAmerican )
- whilsti can see the sense/logic/need for greater BAME representation in advertising (increase your 'audience' for little/no effort) it is noticeable that it's predominantly black representation rather than Indian/Pakistani/East Asian...
