Higher milage 1, 2 Series 3.0 petrol

Is there anything specific to look out for on higher milage (100k+) 135/140 or 235/240 cars? The engines seem quite reliable, and the rest of car is just like any other 1/2 series underneath so parts availability should be okay. Guess gearbox service would be useful, but otherwise what is there to look for?
