Hi, desperately need ideas please. Long story short, I need to stop a person from using my battery to jump start their car.
I am looking for ideas to either lock the battery terminal or lock the bonnet.
Many thanks.

How are they opening the bonnet? From inside or outside the car?

Remove the battery every time. Simply refit when you want to use the car again.

Tell them to stop doing it.
Think we need the full story

We need to know exactly what the car is which might help to get an idea as to where the battery is & how accessible the bonnet release catch is from outside the car.
You'd probably be best posting a few photos to help.
Assuming of course you're not leaving the car unlocked/convertible with the top down or the person has access to your keys/remote fob & are just using the normal bonnet release.

Get the police involved.
They would love a lead like this and he's sure to be charged.

Can you put the car where the "person" can't get to it?

What car is it? There are not many cars made in the last 30-40 years where you could open the bonnet from outside?

Do you know who this "person" is? Then maybe tell them to stop, or call the police?

P.S. And don't worry about all the other posters amping it up, some of them can be quite shocking at times, but generally a good bunch on here.

No point arcing up about it online. Is it parked in a parking space of a block of flats or similar? Maybe you could raise the issue at the next leaseholders AGM.
