I've just bought my first elise and its a 111s s1. I work in an mg/rover garage. What goodies can I get off the shelf to make my motor fly (speed that is).

Dump the K-Series and stick a Honda K20A in it - the best 'stock' motor money can buy.

Try the Lotus Elise Technical forum at:
www.british-cars.co.uk/

It's a busier forum, although with my limited knowledge, the throttle body and cat bypass should give a bit of extra oomph, a filter such as hurricane or ITG would be a good complement to those too!

I'm sure the guys on the other BBS will have many more opinions that that, lucky you with access to all those godies! ;-)

yep just to recommend the trophy 160 mm throttle body the all aliminuim verison - better soundtrack and more breathability - good easy imporvement - about a hundred quid usually

other than that the airfilter K&N etc is some help, after that its harder to tune the 111s due to the vvc gear - the ecu isn't reprogrammable so cam work etc is limited - should still see 160 bhp from filter throbble botty, manifold and exhaust changes

Which exhaust, I've read reports that some make your ears bleed.
