They'll be getting another for the 'heathen' comments I shouldn't wonder.

The article said:
She claimed the vaccination programme amounted to "mass murder" and was comparable to the actions of "doctors in pre-Nazi Germany".
I'm genuinely puzzled - why the doctors in pre-Nazi Germany? Were they somehow worse than the Doctors in Nazi Germany? confused

I noticed that, I think it's an attempt to make a comparison, in some people's minds, with the nazis, while keeping deniability. Pretty low imo.

So a guest broke the code
2.1: Generally accepted standards must be applied to the contents of television and radio services and BBC ODPS so as to provide adequate protection for members of the public from the inclusion in such services of harmful and/or offensive material.

What a vague woolly standard. So much for free speech. How do we know who the idiots are if we don't allow them to speak. (Dr Hiliary I'm looking at you - keep your mask on while swimming)

Why? The correct meaning of heathen is anyone who isn't Muslim, Jewish or Christian. Sunak is Hindu, so a heathen. As am I, an atheist.

I know the word heathen is now taken to mean someone who is uncouth, or uneducated, or has bad manners, etc, but that's not actually it's meaning.

It’s fairly easy to find them as you have aptly demonstrated.

It never is. It's used in a disparaging way to describe someone who doesn't share your values and worships the wrong imaginary friend. But even so, they called Sunak a heathen, and he is. I've been called a heathen in the past by a god bother. I took it as a compliment. Being a heathen is a good thing in my book.

I have a feeling it’s just because the level of intelligence in your general ‘truth seeker’ is pretty low.

I quite liked Steyn on GBN but watching the running battle between he and his producers via his earpiece and his scathing comments about them directly to camera towards the end of his tenure suggested that this was only going to go one way.

GBN knew they had a loose cannon on their hands.
They hired someone who is more than a little altrighty and then were surprised he said some dubious st.

That said, it’s worth bearing in mind the repercussions of Covid are going to take decades to unwind, and he was absolutely on the money around the massive perils of group think around the pandemic.

At various times he was pushing against group think on lockdown, masks, and multiple vaccinations for the healthy (while railing against Charles Schwab who he seemed to have a particular brietbart beef with).

Whether or not those criticisms of the pandemic policy were correct (and as time goes on certainly there are more question marks) he had every right to raise them and in many cases he was pretty much the only one on a TV channel doing so. Mass murder by vaccination? Not so much.

I wonder if the intent is to signal "see, this is how it starts. Something that seems innocuous leads to everyone becoming nazis".

Much like pigeons, if GBN disappeared overnight the world would likely be a better place. Add in Jeremy Vine, Nicky Campbell, the Express, Mail, Guardian.....
