Hi all, just need some brief advice ref the subject.

I purchased a number plate over 10 years ago that I never used, so it's just been sat on a V750 form.

It currently has a nominee assigned to it (ex partner, hence why I'm selling it) so would the best course of action be to change the nominee to that of the new owner once it sells?

Thanks

Is the document still in date or has it lapsed?
The grantee can still sell the number regardless of the nominee

If it is still in date then just advertise it (maybe in the PH marketplace, which is free). When the purchaser has sent you the money then post them the form.

DO NOT let anyone know the reference number from the v750 until the have paid as all they need to assign the number to their vehicle is the v750 ref number and your postcode.

If it was just over 10 years ago I would think it has lapsed. 10 years from date of issue is the validity period. Check the date 2nd line down below the address.

Thanks all, yes I had kept reapplying annually to renew its use, up until 2015 where they changed it to a 10 year retention period, so it expires sometime in 2025.
