I currently have a sealed Series X and a Sealed PS5 on eBay.

Interestingly after 4 days the Xbox has 38 watchers and the PS5 has 70.

I suspect the perception is that the PS5 is still difficult to get hold of

I have seen some users on the Xbox subreddit upset at the quality of their exclusives. There isn’t much there to sell an Xbox even with game pass available. Starfield is Microsoft’s big game if the year now and it isn’t due til Sept.

You're probably right.
I decided I was going to buy a PS5 this week - g/f's son announced that it was still difficult to buy one. I answered : No it's not, they've been available on Amazon for months. And sure enough, I bought one the next day.

But we did try going to Curry's to buy from there - and they had none in stock. We were told that one version was available online and one wasn't (can't remember which, but basically digital vs disc).

So they seem easy to buy now - but maybe not quite so easy as most things.

I would not say easy to buy but more easier. Stock comes up and is usually gone quickly. The game catalogue is definitely what separates Xbox and the PS5.

I have a PS5 for the living room and PC in the office with Gamepass so don’t really see the point of an Xbox

Starfield has all the hallmarks of a turkey in the making, unfortunately.

I could be wrong, but these sorts of 'epic games in the making' with very little actual information/demonstration of real code usually turn out to be completely dissappointing rubbish whenever they do come out.

Hello Games managed to turn around 'No Man's Sky' with years of dedicated work and improvements but Bethesda/MS need Starfield to be amazing out of the box. Given Bethesda's recent track record and history of shonky game engines for their in-house games, I doubt very much that will be the case.

Had both Series X and PS5, sold PS5 as I simply didn't use it

If anyone wants a PS5, Symths Solihull have plenty in stock on display behind the counter, saw both versions there yesterday.

I've got both - PS5 since launch, XBox more recently, and I have a gaming PC.

Generally I use the XBox way more than the PS5 - to the point I was thinking of selling the PS5.

PSVR2 has meant I use the PS5 more often now, have also got back into Gran Turismo with VR and a wheel.

I'm not sure either platform really has a huge advantage over the other - the only reason I couldn't bring myself to sell the PS5 is that they'd announce a new Uncharted the day after I sold - that is the only Sony exclusive I actually care about...

There's been nothing making me want to partake in one of the current generation of consoles thus far, I thought GT7 would make me need/want a PS5 however it's been a joke. Glad some users are enjoying it but IMO it's a shadow of its former self and a real low-point for the franchise so far.

Hoping the forthcoming Forza Motorsport offering lives up to expectations, will probably buy a Forza-limited edition Series X if/when one comes to market, still got my Forza Xbox One rofl

You need to play GT7 with PSVR2 and a wheel/seat setup. It's been a massive game changer for me, I was getting very bored with gaming generally and even though GT has a ton of issues they all seem irrelevant when you feel like your sitting in your favourite cars racing round a famous circuit like Spa or Brands.
