Just appeared in my village, 3 miles outside Newark on Trent. That’s an LED street light at the top.

It’s about 100 metres inside a 30 zone, outside houses, 50 metres after a yellow speed measuring matrix sign.
The whole village has a 7.5 tonne weight limit.
Road is unclassified, one lane each way, and runs between two villages.
It is mainly national speed limit outside the villages.
It is a way around traffic delays when the A1 is closed.

I'm in a village near Bingham and we have the same. Been told they are ANPR cameras.

Thanks. That would make sense, because we do have issues with 20 tonne+ trucks using the village as a short cut. They have positioned it where they have a power source, but also it is just round a blind corner, so by the time you see it, it has seen you.

I think this is the first of the new face recognition cameras that are being installed across the country.

I’ll ask Bill when I catch up with him later next week.

t would be bloody clever if it could.
It's view is along the line of the back of the house, not directly at it. Also it is about 600 metres away, with the view blocked by a small wood and a 5 metre high hedge. The glass is frosted, there's also a roller blind (our nosey grandchildren used to live next door).

A well placed drone, at an angle of 40 degrees above the horizontal, would be able to see the window, but even then it couldn't see in.
This is my view from the floor above the bathroom.

Your lack of denial regarding the drug-trafficking is noteworthy. Notwithstanding the lack of perjury, there are enough reasonable grounds for a safe conviction.

No, I am to the east of Newark. Newark is in the distance in my photo.
