Hi Guys, after a bit of help. I have been in the market for a GT3 RS for a few years and am now in a position to buy. After looking im unsure should i just get the GT3 or will the RS hold better value? I dont plan on track days just a weekend car
Thank you
Weekend car = GT3.Thank you
Based on my own experience, not the RS. I have a 991.1RS. It's too wide, too stiff, too noisy to be any fun as a road car. Mine has the Manthey kit on it, mind - the standard PASM might be a bit more forgiving. You certainly can drive it on the road - I've driven it to Spa - but I should think a regular GT3 would be a far better bet.
As per above: Which models are you considering.
E.g., when comparing the 997.2 GT3 and RS you will find that the RS' suspension is a tad more compliant than the one in the GT3. The RS looks wilder though and that may not be to everyone's taste for driving on the road. The latter is true for all RS iterations.

if 991 RS as a better daily driver , larger rear tyres with lift mean no issue with and speed humps ,and gives good cross country ability over muddy fields ( proven in the Somme at Goodwood ) ....plus carbon wings and bonnet etc make it a bit more special .
Agreed. The OP has omitted which variant so this opens the field up. But as Hunter says the RS (991.1) is a bit more special: Carbon nose, CF wing you can actually see past, unlike 991.1 GT3. 918 Buckets which are truly epic visually and really lift the some what plain cockpit. Dare i say it a better engine which up til 2023 has proven to be more robust than the .1GT3 engine. Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
