Sat Nav, radio, and stereo all stopped working...
Discussion
Hello all,
I've recently become a new owner (only about 2 weeks) of a 2007 DB9 Volante and it's been my daily driver ever since. Prior to purchase, everything was in pristine condition. Perhaps before the car was more hidden in a garage than driven, and with the recent increase in activity some problems began to surface. One day I was trying to close the soft top but it seemed like one of the latches did not disengage (I recall I didn't have my engine running and only tried to close it with the key turned on, bad idea - I know now). I tried it several times to no avail and left it for a few hours. I came back and tried it again, this is when I saw a "battery low" warning come on in my stereo. I then decided to start the engine and voila, the top was able to close with the engine roaring.
However, after I was able to close my top, my entire infotainment system stopped working
. The centre console still shows the indoor and outdoor temperature, I can still turn on the AC and it would show the fan levels, but for some reason when I pressed the on/off button - it would only show the majestic "DB9" and essentially do nothing else. I could press the [mode] button and I could cycle through the iPod, CD, and USB - but nothing would happen afterwards. When I got the car, I could play CDs properly and was able to plug in my iPhone into the arm rest socket's usb for a charge. Now none of these work anymore - even the sat Nav does not pop up when I wiggle it's control stick
. Here are the steps I have ready taken to tackle the issue, to no avail:
1. I thought it would be an issue with the battery (given the warning on the stereo), so I took it out and gave it an overnight charge and put it back - problem persists. It is a 830CCA Varta Silver Dynamic (non-agm) which, according to the marking on the battery, was replaced in Oct'21.
2. I thought I might've blown a fuse, so I checked every single fuse under the engine bay, in the cabin, and also the trunk. All fuses are in proper condition.
3. I thought it might've been a loose connection - so I took out the ski slope and everything in the centre console and reconnected everything, still no music or radio.
I am running out of ideas and do not want to bring her back to stealership yet (it was a private purchase so no warranties of any sort). If anyone has come across this issue and or have any advice... Will be much appreciated. Just also want to take this opportunity to say that the support in this community is one of the factors that helped me make the decision to make my purchase. Looking forward to your ideas and advice!

Thanks a lot PatCub! Wanted to reply you earlier but the forum doesn't allow me to post due to me being a new member and thought I'd be spamming... Anyways I haven't tried to check the power to the advised fuses yet but will try to do that this weekend. I did however, get myself a foxwell obd scanner and found that when I plugged into the side where it could scan the internal modules, the scanner tells me that there is "No response to the request for codes" for the following modules:
1. Marelli transmission control module
2. Sub Woofer Amplifier
3. Global Positioning System
Does this essentially confirm your guess that one of the relays are blown? It also makes me think that there is no power going to these modules (which I assume are all the stereo / radio / etc)
There is a code of low battery voltage under the Restraints Control Module... Do you think switching to a brand new battery would help my case? My stereo did stop working after the screen in the centre console tell me that the battery is low...
I found it weird that after I recharged the battery and reinstalled it, I did not have to recalibrate my seats and windows...
Any tips or advice would be much appreciated!! Thanks again for your prompt reply!!!

Thanks Astontony, I reached out to local official AM dealership recently and got a quote for an "inspection" (i.e. a quick scan) for ~£400. I asked if any firmware updates will be provided, and the reply was that "the technician doesn't think there'll be firmware upgrades unless new parts are installed" - way to avoid a question and prep me to rip off my arm as payment haha... Given the uncertainty of the solution - I think I will only resort to that if all else fails. I do however think an "inspection" may shed light on any other potential problems the car may have... So perhaps paying the ~£400 and knowing all the problems so I can DIY the DIY-ables and find another mechanic for the rest of the issues? Thanks again!
