Can someone tell me the price my "S" would have been sold for at the dealers and how does the price compare to other makes at the time.

My S is a 1989 1.5. It has the 2.9 engine leather trim and a wooden steering wheel.

Here's hoping

I bought brand new a S2 in 1990. 2.9i . This car had a list price of £16,999. This was the price I paid. I bought the car in April 1990 but first started looking in October 1989. The S1 was the model out at that time. In fact I test drove one. In October a new S1 was priced at £12,999. However TVR put the price of the car up £4,000 in 6 months. By the time I bought my S2 in April it was £16,999. At this time you couldnt find a second hand TVR for love or money.
I kept mine for 3 years 39,000 miles and then traded it in for a 4x4 Cossie, I got £10,000 for the TVR part ex. BTW Back in 1990 you could buy a new Ford RS Turbo for £10,500 - a Toyoto Supra for approx
£ 20,000 and a new Mazda RX7 for approx £17,000

Hope this is what you wanted to know !

I think there was a massive variation in prices, particularly because of extras, my late 1991 S3 ended up costing nearly 22k
