I've recently renewed my lease (on a shop) with my landlord and am aware I need to register the new lease with Land Registry.

Can I do this myself - I can't find any obvious way to do it online?

I did use a solicitor when signing the new lease, but due to various issues with my landlord and his solicitor delaying matters, this was about 3 years ago and I'm no longer in contact with my solicitor (plus I'd rather just register it myself than pay someone else to do it).

Any pointers appreciated.

Everything I can find online suggests the opposite - it is the tenant who has to register it (this is a commercial lease)?

It is the tenant’s obligation to register the lease - but if the lease is for a term of less than seven years it is not required to be registered.

It's a 10 year lease so it does need to be registered with Land Registry.

It does seem possible that you can do this yourself but you will, according to this website, need to verify your identity three months prior to registering the lease with Land Registry.

However, of greater concern is the fact the lease should have been registered with Land Registry within two months of being created and not having done so may pose some issues.
