Rapide AMR child seat
Discussion
Haven't done this in a while... hello all. Pleased to see we aren't still arguing over seats or gearboxes at all.
Time, or lack of time for 2 seater cars has been breathing down my neck for a while, so I'm about to let go of my BR fettled V12V (keeping V12VRSM, or V12VSRM, whatever we call them) and have an incoming Rapide AMR for the noisy car days where the one year old is joining.
There are a few bits and bobs on child seats over the years, but I don't think any particularly recent. Still using rear facing, just wondering if anyone has any recent experience to share?
It's the Scintilla silver car that was at Nicholas Mee recently. Garages in construction, so no pics just yet.

Hello Ross
Welcome to the impending AMR Rapide owners club, indeed we must then be in quite a minority owning both one of them and a V12VSM!
I can't help on the child seats as we have no kids so never been a priority for us, but I will try take a look in the manual later. Annoyingly the manual is kept in the boot so its never just to hand!
Scintilla Silver is a great colour and really suits the AMR Rapide - I am biased though!
I have tracked down quite a few of the cars and colours now. The car was available in a choice of 4 colours, but as always you could spec something different via Q. The 4 primary colours were: Scintilla Silver, Onyx Black, Mariana Blue and the Halo scheme based on Stirling Green.
There were only 188 cars built (210 announced but production stopped short), of which 43 sold in the UK.
Of the 188 I have tracked down the following distributions of the 4 primary colours (confirmed by AMHT) and have identified a further 5 bespoke colours:
54 Onyx Black
53 Halo - Stirling Green
43 Scintilla Silver
17 Mariana Blue
1 Ceramic Grey (UK)
3 Lightning Silver (UK, Atlanta USA, Belgium)
1 Aston Heritage Racing Green (Switzerland)
1 AM Racing Green (UK but LHD, so this could be the same swiss car)
1 Volcano Red (New Zealand)
So just 14 or 15 cars to identify in non std colours.

This YouTube video from Ben at Dadcars might be worth a watch - he shows a few car seats in the back of a Rapide.

I was tempted by that one! Bloody lovely and far better than the black AMR in Bristol (in my opinion)Time, or lack of time for 2 seater cars has been breathing down my neck for a while, so I'm about to let go of my BR fettled V12V (keeping V12VRSM, or V12VSRM, whatever we call them) and have an incoming Rapide AMR for the noisy car days where the one year old is joining.

I was worried about putting miles on an AMR plus kids really wanted their own vent/controls so instead I’ve just bought a scintilla silver shadow edition from Belfast and am flying over this weekend to pick it up - can’t wait!
Nice choice on the AMR 👍🏻👍🏻
They do indeed fit! I had 2 child seats, front facing in my Rapide AMR for 2 year old and 4 year old. The isofix is pretty standard and getting them in was easy as any other car. HOWEVER word of caution, getting them out is NOT simple. The issue is that side release buttons go too deep into "bucket" shape meaning it's not possible to fit your hand down the side to release them. Took AM Bristol about 2 hours to get them out!
