Someone's changed my number plate
Discussion
1st delivery, 2nd run this morning, pallet of green raisins forked out of my 3.5t Transit.
I wait to take the picture while the FLT driver takes down my reg number, I hear him muttering it as he writes.
My reg starts YD12, he is saying ST10, I point out that is wrong, he says it's right, forcefully I tell him it's my bloody van, has been for 2 1\2 years 'I know my bloody reg.
He points, I look... , that's not my ******* number plate I say.
Depot is 500 yards away so I went back in, asked if someone is having a joke and stuck a fake plate on.
Turns out they hadn't, I unloaded and switched to a sprinter, did the run and went back.
After cctv checks it is shown me leaving the yard yesterday with Yd12 for an Ormskirk, Burscough run, I'm seen from the front coming back in, nothing to see, when I have loaded the next run and left ST10 is on show.
I know I did not stop off for fuel, shop, errand and when I'm delivering I'm at the back of the van, God knows how they did it.
Police forensics have been, the ST reg was originally from a white van like mine, now showing as unknown.
It's a puzzler.

I am the lead detective on this case and can confirm that our Number Plate Forensics Team (NPFT) did attend to an incident. Investigations are ongoing. We advise all wonky old Transit drivers to be on the lookout for cartoon characters with suspicious moustaches and report to the NPFT directly.

I get the impression that you think it is a fabricated story.
Feel free to check, start at Trigon Snacks in L9, ask for the FLT driver Zibby, he will confirm the first part.
Then nip round the corner to G Jenkins transport, go in the office and ask for Vicky or Jack.
Who the hell is Zibby and how does he fit in with this fictional story that is being weaved?Feel free to check, start at Trigon Snacks in L9, ask for the FLT driver Zibby, he will confirm the first part.
Then nip round the corner to G Jenkins transport, go in the office and ask for Vicky or Jack.
Just because he is a FLT driver doesn't add credibility to the story.....

I remember Ford locks being so s
t that you could get in and start a car with practically any Ford key, and some even claimed that even a simple teaspoon was enough.
Are you sure you got back in the correct van?
He's been driving it for 2 1/2 bloody years, he knows his bloody van (and reg) !

Are you saying that both front and rear plates were changed from YD12 to ST10, or just the rear?I wait to take the picture while the FLT driver takes down my reg number, I hear him muttering it as he writes.

I would be checking the details in the ownership documents you have from purchase of YD12 against the vehicle's vin-plates & other identifiers.
Alarm bells ringing that the ST10 reg is the same make/model & now showing as unknown.
Hope it is not the case, but it may be that the original reg of your van is ST10, but had a "makeover" before being sold on with YD12 plates.
The lazy option would be to stick a new reg plate on top of the original. Adhesives will fail after time - led me to wonder if that is what happened here & YD12 rear plate fell off revealing ST10 underneath.
As above, check the docs against the chassis numbers & also have a look at the front reg plate to make sure its not double the usual thickness.
