She was one of the greatest female singers of all time. Her Whitney Houston, Diana Ross (still alive), Celine Dion (still alive but very sick). Its hard to think of many others in that league today I might say Adel is the only on close to that. Said day for music even if it'd not my kind of music still an icon

Simply the best.

Leaving that aside, Nutbush City Limit was waaay ahead of its time - fifty years ago,

And here's a stunning version from Bonamassa and Hart. Proper respect 40 years later,

So glad you posted these. TT was a legend and this song is outstanding.

Love Joe's face at 1.29 when Beth hits the notes.

RIP Tina.

Unbelieveable. A friend and I were planning to go to the West End Musical as we both like her music. I guess we'll still go, but with a tinge of sadness mixed in with it.

Rest in Peace, Tina x

This is sad news, I heard an interview with her not that long ago and she still sounded full of beans and a lot of fun. When asked if she’d do more music she said she just wanted to potter in the garden as she had nothing left to prove in the world of entertainment. She sounded perfectly happy. She was right though, when she was performing she was an incredibly charismatic and talented performer and a real dynamo on stage.

RIP - A special talent and the story of how she overcame some of the abuse she suffered was amazing

Proud Mary - her version is excellent.

I knew she was old, but I didn't realise she was "that" old.

What a voice..only eclipsed by Whitney and Aretha imho.

RIP. I loved her in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, and her main song (We don't need another hero) is sublime.

Very sad.

One of my last childhood memories of my
Mum was dancing with her to Tina Turner in the sitting room. My mum died when I was 10 but since then whenever I heard or saw Tina tuner on tv or radio, I would think back to those happy times.
I still miss my mum and now I will miss Tina 😢

One of my Dads favourite artists, so grew up listening to her and loved her music.

Went to see the Tina Turner story in the west end last year and reminded me of all the great songs she had in her career.

So sad that she has passed away. RIP
