Was out for a run in the Chim earlier, just enjoying the late summer sun. My route took me past Fernies, so I stopped in for a coffee, and to take a look at their stock. Got talking to them, and was invited to try a Silver Tuscan. 4.0, with 20k on the clock. A serious looker!

Anyhow, I was really struck by a number of things:
Pros
- Stunning looks
- Stunning interior
- Hair-trigger steering and controls
- Fab- handling and roadholding
Cons
- No torque!!! Have to rev the bejezuz out of it. But then you do make serious progress. (I'm talking warp-factor.) But you really have to stir the stick.
- Wierd noise. Kind of grew on me, but makes you realise just how amazing the RV8 sounds

All in all, a totally different proposition to the Griff/Chims. I think would like one, but I really dont think it's as usable as a daily driver. But seriously good as a 2nd car....

Did really make me realise what lovable lazy old things the V8s are - the Tusc reminded me of something from The Terminator: ...It feels neither pity nor remorse...

They are very different in terms of engine characteristics. I find I drive the Chim at 2-4k in the rev range and the Tusc at 3-5k. Not a lot extra but a noticable change is style of driving. Once past 5k on the Tusc things do start happening very quickly and the time between the change up lights seems almost instantaneous - could be something to do with max power at 7k ! I love both of them - the rumbly sound of the V8 and the roar of the S6.
