Hi chaps,

I'm trying to downsize from 2 cars to 1 due to moving to a smaller house and living in a fairly busy town.

I currently have an automatic Audi A6 Estate which is used for dog walks and longer journeys, but the wife doesn't drive it because it's too big.

I also have a Clio Automatic which the wife does drive but doesn't like lifting the dog over the slightly high boot entrance.

So I'm thinking of merging two cars into one, one that the wife can park as it's not too big and that the dog can get into etc.

It would also have to have a bit of power and be comfortable enough for three adults and a dog to do longer trips if required.

I'm stuck.

I was thinking maybe Range Rover Evoque, A3, Golf Estate, something like that.

Very boring post, all suggestions welcome. Many thanks.

Skoda Rapid Spaceback was my answer to a similar list.
Get the ones with extended glass (inc pano roof) and they've got a bit over 100 brake, 10 sec 0-60 so not fast but not terribly slow. Nice and airy inside with the glass roof, and you can get (or make, in my case) a false floor for the boot which greatly reduces the load lip.
Not an exciting "heart"car, but a good "head" car.

Thanks very much. That could definitely be a contender and as you say with the glass roof. Cheers.

Thanks for the reply, Toyota may be a bit too big, I didn’t know the Clio even did an estate and I do like the Merc. Cheers.

Focus ST Estate?

Not sure if this one is any good.
