Hi, I have just had 5 jets pass overhead, I am in Gloucestershire, nearest town is Sharpness. They were flying in a V formation. Couldn’t see anything on flight radar.
Picture is not very clear, sorry.

I may be able to answer my own question.
I have just had a post pop up on FB saying it is B1 bombers from Fairford.
No idea if that is correct.

Not B-1's.

Technically they are flying in a typical loose battle flight finger 4 (or finger 5 in this case) rather than a V-formation.

Thanks aeropilot. Any idea as to what type of planes they were?

Only mildly concerned at the looseness of the formation and heading towards the capital.

That is a bit of a coincidence then as I was onboard HMS Queen Elizabeth last week. Disappointed that I didn’t get to see any F-35.

I assume they're heading to Norfolk so five fingers without counting a thumb is possibly normal.

Probably the RAF Typhoon solo display doing a practice, as first display of the season is next weekend?
