How would mechanic test for bad injector?

Injectors are in a bit of a mess. Left out of tubes for maybe 2 weeks, new and possibly wrong seals installed. Now spurting diesel. Could either be leaking from seals or stick open injectors or both.

How would a pro mechanic approach this problem. Basically I need to test if all injectors are working ok then put correct seals in.

Get them flow tested , basically attached to a test rig, and spray pattern and flow monitored to see if equal .

New seal then refit.

A competent professional mechanic would send them away for testing and servicing.
