PPI at OPC or Indy? Leicester Area?
Discussion
Hi Guys -
About to strike a deal potentailly on one of the 997's that I saw this weekend.
Its in the midlands though - so not a place i'm familiar with the specialist scene at.
Is it worth having the guy put it through a check at an OPC?
have hear mixed reviews about the efficacy of these at spotting anything meaningful -
this is a local indy to him - not heard of them but looks like a good outfit: https://gcrcentral.co.uk
The car has very nice miles (sub 70k on a 2009) - my only reticency is that having only done 6000 miles in the last 6 year - (corroborated by the MOT history), if anything the issues it may have will be perished seals and the like and 'lack of use' related issues - which would be less likely to crop up on the check....
it looks like its basically had an oil and filter change only in the last six years, and that was done (albeit at an OPC) in Late October '21 at 67,674 miles (now has 68,900, so only done 1200 miles in the last 19 months - again not unusual for this type of car.
Whats the view on these and the best form of pre-purchase inspections
Obviously all eventualities are not covered!
Thanks all!
