I had no idea this existed, but now I want it so much it hurts. One of the most fabulous cars ever, surely?

1981 Citroën CX GTI Convertible Deslandes, one of four.

If anyone could sling me another 100k on top of that, I'll take this please!

Now, you see, that's lovely, but I've seen them before. Never seen the CX.

Me neither, and while I like it for its novelty it just doesn't wow me. For that money I'd take a standard CX, and use the rest for a DS, XM and 2CV. And a Pluriel, just to annoy people.

Would've looked a lot nicer if the doors were a foot longer

And fit properly.

I didn't know these existed either but won't be saving up to buy one.

And a Xsara Picasso for the full Ronny Pickering effect!

Unusual, yes, but it doesn't seem well proportioned.

I'd rather a Peugeot 504 convertible.

Not just me then. I'd be embarrassed to sell a £5K car with that level of door fit. There'll be more faults/bodges for sure.

When next at home I'll dig out a photo of the DS coupé they are building near the circuit. €120,000, but beautifully built.
