"After a 43 year wait, Bulldog has just broken the long promised 200mph barrier at Campbelltown Airport, Scotland. Driven by Darren Turner, a peak speed of 205.4mph was recorded. Tim Cottingham, AMHT Trustee, was there to witness this incredible moment!"

Brilliant; a classic 1980s Top Trumps motor that always had to make do with a guessed-at top speed!

Would be interesting to see their power data; has a cheeky bit of 21stC know-how been allowed to sneak in...

Wow.

Darren Turner clearly needs two wheelbarrows.

Most impressive...

A bit flew off the first time they were trying in the 80s IIRC

That probably curtailed things.

The 300kph attempt at Le Mans in the V8 Zagato failed because of a pinched fuel line they didn't find until afterwards.

Those days are gone but I feel the odd pang of nostalgia for Aston Martin's seat-of-the-pants engineering.
