Here's one coming up for sale at Bonhams:
https://www.bonhams.com/auction/28310/lot/143/2015...
Wonder what it will go for, taking into account no paperwork and no maintenance history for 8 years... .
How would you get it registered in UK or EU?
PS: some other nice Astons in the sale, probably bought by some rich Middle East sheikh who never drove them...
Cheers,
F

'Please note that if this vehicle is to be imported into Switzerland,
- Swiss Customs charges (Duty, Car Tax and VAT) will apply at roughly 12.5% of the Purchase Price.
- Included in this is the Swiss Duty which is calculated on the weight of the vehicle and shall be CHF 15 per 100 kg.
- Also included is Swiss Car Tax at 4% and this is calculated on the total Purchase Price (Hammer + Buyers Premium).
- Swiss VAT will then be applicable (Hammer Price, Buyer's Premium, Swiss Duty and Swiss Car Tax) at 7.7%.'
Ah, the good old government double taxation trick.
That happens in the UK with petrol/diesel (VAT is charged on the fuel duty tax).
The paperwork could be an inconvenience, but you should be able to rely on the auction house ensuring it’s all legit. And if not, you have some recourse. But it could well prove to be a bargain if you accept the paperwork hassle with extra tax.
I don’t see these ever dropping too far. Not comparable to much else. Some will always see it as a (usefully) stretched with a different frock, dynamically outpaced by the rare Rapide AMR. But to me it remains the most stunning saloon design ever conceived.
I have to be careful. The last time I stood up for an underdog on PH, I ended up buying the damn thing
