All, my 2007 V8V, US car with 15800 miles runs fine and does not overheat, but it appears that only one of the electric cooling fan runs. I never see the other engage. Any idea if this is the fan or a known issue with the relay etc? I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who's had a similar issue.

I have never given this matter a thought.
Did not know there are two fans (out of sight under the slam panel presumably).

How did you become aware, that only one of the two fans is working ?

With dual fan set ups, isn’t the second fan usually reserved for AC and pulling air through the AC rad when stationary?

Maybe the second one works only, when the AC runs?
Check the electric plans in the workshop manual.

It may be the controller or the coolant temp sensor. Loads of useful info in this thread on a US forum.

For context it looks like this.

Both fans do kick in as part of normal operation, but it has to be quite hot for the larger, second fan to start, sat in traffic once warm in mine it definitely kicks in. The fan control module is as likely to be at fault as the fan itself if you're sure it's not operating at all.

Proudly marked Jaguar.

Wonder how the Jaguar price compares, with the same fans from an Aston Martin main dealer ?

Before you start looking at buying new fan contollers, ecu`s, etc. look at the fuses and relays first in case their pins are corroded, clean them up and put them back in. I had this on my VW Golf GT1 only last week, although it had been standing for a few months, it was a very cheap and easy fix,so it could be similar to your issue.

I'm a bonnet lifter! I noticed that the fan was running at high speed and so I took a look and noticed that only one fan was running. I live in Texas so it gets pretty hot and the a/c is usually on. I expected to see both fans running at all times, with the controller varying the speed
