I recently found an old GOLF GTI in Scotland ,not drivable, a bargain, it needs serious investment,I need to bring it to Bristol,I've found a company AHT Logistics in Aberdeen , they said it will deliver it in max 24 hours, and they charge me 350 Pounds for more than 400 miles, is that good? can you suggest some other companies in order to get offers ?

I used Shiply when i need to collect an old non running volvo. Stick in the details, and people will give you quotes and you can pick and choose.

generally a £1 a mile is the very lowest most transport firms will even think about so i'd snatch their hand off at that price.

Assuming this isn’t one of those Facebook / eBay scams where you pay into an “escrow” fund and the car is supposed to turn up a few days later, then that’s a good deal as it’s usually more than a pound per mile.

I've used Shipley too when I had a TT transported from Scotland to the Thames Valley.

This was January 2022 and from memory about £350.00

I wasn't too fussed on dates/times, if your specific about these things the price goes up otherwise some places fit them around other jobs.

Fella who transported mine had another car, for a local delivery, and a caravan being taken to the South coast

OP, if I were you I’d be asking myself how come this company can do it so cheaply, particularly when other known cheap expeditors quote a fair bit more.

It’s not absurdly cheap so it might be genuine, but be careful

You could always rent a flatbed and go get it yourself.

Way too cheap if it is a non runner, that sounds like a drive on, drive off 6 car transporter price.

Recently had a non rolling shell collected from North of Manchester to Cardiff via Shiply. £350, the owner driver only saw £270 of that, they kept the rest I found out. He is Bristol based, very reliable guy with excellent communication throughout. I have his mobile if you PM me.
