So there are talk of the Dutch guy being a weed grower and has tested positive for high drugs and booze when arrested.

It's a really bizarre incident, father is also in a coma.

Just shows you that moving abroad is the ultimate dream for some people but a warning you can never get away from humans with problems regardless of where you go.

Through a hedge, although at point blank. That certainly casts doubt on whether he knew what he was shooting at.

Also not mentioned yet in thread, one of his two guns was not registered.



Side story, I remember growing up as a kid, just west of Paris. There was a hole in our hedge that led to a neighbour's land. I was probably 4, sister was 6. We snuck through the hedge and were chased back out by the neighbour with a shotgun. It was not shot!

Now as a French landowner in the country, guns are always shooting around us. We have signs around our 2 hectares saying 'no shooting', but often find spent shotgun shells on our path.

A dazzlingly glib comment when some nut job has shot dead an 11 year old girl playing on a swing in her garden, and her dad is fighting for his life having been shot in the head.

The child and the adults were apparently not close together so how can it possibly be an accident?
