This brand has been popping up on my Pinterest feed a fair amount.
What's the crack here? What gives this company the right to charge £20,000 for their lowest priced watches? At that level who are they competing with and who in their right mind would choose Czapek over JLC, PP, AP, VC.
Does anyone have any experience or views on this company?

Hhhmm, yeah I did a tiny amount of background reading on them and gathered it was a bit of a relaunch.
Still, even if you were a multi-millionaire, I guess there are only so many £25,000 watches you would want to own right? You'd have the holy trinity (2 of each) plus a few Rolexes and a few Omegas - at that point - faced with the option of buying another obscure £25k watch, 99 out of 100 millionaires would probably decline preferring to invest or get a new car or go on 2-3 different holidays. I just cannot see a market for them. Just my opinion of course, throwing it out there for conversation if you like.

I wouldn't have a VC, I find the APRO to be a bit predictable, I nearly bought a Nautilus but decided it was a bit over rated and I'd won't own a Rolex.Still, even if you were a multi-millionaire, I guess there are only so many £25,000 watches you would want to own right? Something a bit different in terms of design and exclusivity. In a boardroom full of PP, AP, and VC, perhaps one would prefer something produced in fewer numbers. Some of their models are limited to around 10 pieces. Plus, you can customise your Czapek! Their website highlights some of their offerings, but I know of collectors who have corresponded directly with the CEO of Czapek with regards to choosing their build! https://czapek.com/bespoke/The finishing of their watches is very, very good too - and their guilloche dials are stunning! If I were opting for one of their watches, I'd go for the Quai des Bergues:

Lots of expensive (£25-40K), smaller manufacturers out there for people who want something a bit different/less mainstream! Check out Schwarz Etienne, Laurent Ferrier, Parmigiani Fleurier ... LF only makes around 140 watches a year!
Not everyone buys a watch to dick wave and show the world how much money they've got.
As such things like Laurent Ferrier, Czapek, Parmigiani Fleurier etc allow those who wish to do so to both (a) buy an expensive item for intrinsic satisfaction and (b) to be completely under the radar with it in the way that wearing a yellow gold submariner (for example) doesn't permit.
Proper stealth wealth.
