Aliens Invade New Orleans Ahead of Hurricane!

Seriously, this is potentially a major disaster for the US. My girlfriend lives in New Orleans and has evacuated to Dallas, with her cat Mo. :) However, lots of people don't have cars to get out and many don't have anywhere to stay even if they did.
Fingers crossed it isn't too severe I suppose. :(

looking at the piccies on CNN as we speak.. We've got the idiotic reporters who insist on standing out in the wind, and trying to explain how bad it is... Do they think people are stupid? We can't hear them, we can see its quite breezy, and yet all the news networks do it!

Edited to say...There is a pratt on CNN standing under a roof, explain how there is bits of tiles, and windows falling down. he is right under them... Am I the oly one that thinks these reporters have a screw loose?
Another knob... In 'Hurricane 1' their reporting vehicle. "We are beeing pelted by rocks, and bits off wood in our vehicle".. He then gets out of said vehicle, and starts his s;ightly leaning into the wind report!! Madness!
