New toy, budget to £35k

Looking to replace my 2003 996 C2.
My daily is a 440i, and I already have a Chimaera 450 that I'll be keeping.
I have up to £35k, its a limit not a target!
TVR Cerberas (V8) I like but worried by the chassis rot issues
TVR Tuscan is on the list, would have to have an engine rebuild
Lotus Evora I may not fit in
A couple of Ariel Atoms may fall in my price range
I don't want another Porsche, and I don't really want an auto box. Would like another big engined car, preferable a coupe/sports car.
I want something that isn't like the Chim and is different enough from the BMW to make me want to drive it. I didn't use the porsche much as it was no quicker than the BMW and wasn't exciting to drive, although very very capable.
Any ideas?

Lotus Evora, fantastic car and of course you'll fit in it, I'm 6,4 and loads of room, more roomy than my previous Griff 500.My daily is a 440i, and I already have a Chimaera 450 that I'll be keeping.

The Evora has the chassis that no TVR has, and so would complement the 450 well. An Exige would be an even better contrast.
The Mustang is a fine car for the engine, but I can't see what it would offer the OP who already has a charismatic (and lighter) V8.
An F-Type adds little to the OP who has a 440i and a 450.
The Aston does have an old school pedigree to its chassis that has an appeal. The Atoms would be my choice. Caterham 420 is in budget too.

I can't believe how cheap those mustangs are. Thats a lot of car for the money
I went from a Zanzibar Red 2001 C4 with the aerokit to a 2008 supercharged Atom. There is absolutely no comparison.
As a fair-weather adrenaline hit, there really isn't anything like a supercharged Atom.
£35k would get you a supercharged Atom 3, or maybe an na 3.5. Both will make your 996, your 450 and your 440i feel like pedal cars.

The Evora would be my choice there,
I've loved the couple I had, and would definitely have another.
Really special car to look at and drive, I had an S, and a non S, I preferred the standard to be honest, 276 hp was more than enough, and sounded great too. But the S may be for you for the power increase.
I've always liked the 370Z as well, you could get the Nismo variant in your budget.
