Family Law and Property Litigation - Lawyer

Morning everyone, can anyone recommend a lawyer who specializes in Family Law and Property Litigation?
I've tried looking but the few lawyers we've spoke to require £10,000 in advance before even looking at anything which just isn't possible at the moment. Surely they must realize that someone contacting a lawyer involving a bankruptcy won't have that sort of money just laying around!
Sorry to hear of your plight, but looking at it from the lawyer's point of view, if they are dealing with a bankruptcy case, how are the going to get paid at the end, if they don't ask for payment on account upfront?I've tried looking but the few lawyers we've spoke to require £10,000 in advance before even looking at anything which just isn't possible at the moment. As above really.
They all want payment upfront on account in any event and if not upfront you will get a month end invoice in 4 weeks and pay it then so either way you will need £10k now or on a few weeks time.
The law is an expensive game and has little to do with right and wrong and a lot to do with who blinks first - led in large part by the scale of the legal bills.
