Hi all,

I will be doing loads of travel across Europe in the upcoming months and was wondering what would be a good way to insure the vehicle in question?

  • Vehicle is owned by a business entity (business belongs to me, sole owner.)
  • Will most likely be doing 2-3 countries during a period of 6-10 months.
  • The vehicle is registered in the UK and is RHD.
  • It is not a van, just a regular Volvo xc60
  • No need of meet, new vehicle (3 years covered)
I have tried to reach stuart collins as insurers but they have rejected to cover for europe on the grounds that the vehicle is not a personal but business.

Happy to pay a bit more premium for this obviously.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance and have a great hot weekend everyone!

SAGA is the only shed to give 365 days cover per anumn, and you must be over 55. LV give 6 months standard, no age restrictions as far as I know. My experience is private cars. Not sure about business.
All cars are covered 3rd party as standard but that's not enough.

Hmm, Stuart Collins covered me for annual business use in Europe within the last year. Can you transfer the vehicle to yourself as registered keeper?

SAGA is over 50 - works for me smile I spend about 11 months a year in Europe, but still a UK resident with a UK car.

I am the registered keeper, not sure what the issue was.

I might call them and clarify, the vehicle is owned by a company, but I am the registered keeper.

My apologies. Over 50 is correct. Does that help a bit

I’m with LV with a multi car policy for this very reason.

I might look at Saga though - I qualify on the above age even thought it’s wrong….. rolleyes

ocZio, or anyone else – did you have any luck finding a provider, other than Saga, of 365 day insurance cover for your UK reg'd vehicle?
