I need to access to the sills on my BMW E38, I'm lucky enough to have a scissor lift in my garage but this is no good for what I need for this particular job.

So how do I get good access to the sills? Could I lift the car, put some spare wheels down and then sit the car on these extra wheels that would be laying on their side? Or is there an easier way which I've missed as I'm over thinking it? Thanks.

Wheel cribs?

Race Ramps make them if you're feeling spendy, or DIY some wood ones.

I have no idea why that's upside-down . No edit button so can't take it down and spin it 180, ..... ( unless some body knows better. Your welcome to try. )

These would put it at a nice height, but not cheap...
