Hi

Edit: apols I can't edit the post title but you get what I mean!

Long time not posting, life has been very complex.

So I need a good solicitor who can spar with a pain the rear ex wife's solicitor.

As jointly held finances were taken by her and it's taken nearly 2 years to get some of it back to get legal advice and representation, a picture and position which is a bit of a stitch up has been proposed which I won't agree to as I've not had any advice.

So can anyone either advise how to find a good one myself either here or on a direct message please?

Google doesn't help!

Thanks

I used this firm -> https://tvedwards.com/services/family-law-solicito... (with Emma Baillie coming recommended by a local non-family law solicitor). They were responsive, knowledgeable, professional and got me a great result for a reasonable cost, although my situation was a bit more straight forward than yours!

No connection to them, etc, etc.

I would start with the Dummies Guide to Divorce as there is a lot of good advice in there. Make sure you get the UK version though.

Secondly I would be really really clear on what you want from the solicitor and do as much of the donkey work for them as you can.
